Belt-CP Build UP

The ESky Belt-CP is a pretty straightforward build (all the tricky bits having already been done for you). In addition to fitting the the struts, skids, blades and canopy, you'll need to connect up the motor and radio control gear.

Wiring / connections

belt-cp wiring

Fit the speed controller to the side of the mainframe using double sided tape and tie wraps. The motor wires run from the back of the ESC to the front and are held in place with cable-ties, as shown.

belt-cp esc fitting

The front servo wire follows the same route as the motor wires then feeds through the side of the mainframe - the ESC to receiver wires fit through the same aperture.

bel-cp gyro connection

Tidy the two top rear servo wires and the gyro wires with another cable tie and feed through the rear side opening.

belt-cp receiver fitting

The receiver slides in the rear - upside down.

Connect up the servo, gyro and ESC wires (as shown below) and stick the receiver firmly to the inner side of the mainframe.

Plug the connectors in with the black wires nearest to the base of the receiver.

1. top rear servo
2. front servo
3. speed controller (brown to bottom of receiver)
4. gyro - (to tail servo)
5. not used
6. rear lower servo
B. not used

Standard gyro settings / calibration:

You need to set the gyro to REV.

When you connect the battery you will hear 3 beeps - the red light on the gyro will flicker for a further 10 seconds then go solid red. Only at this point will the tail servo function and the helicopter be safe to fly.
