DJI Phantom 3 Comparison Guide

The differences between the versions of Phantom 3 explained

Phantom 3 Standard

The DJI Phantom 3 Standard can be seen as an upgraded DJI Phantom Vision +. The Phantom 3 Standard has a WiFi extender built into the Remote Control; this WiFi extender receives video from the Standard and displays it onto your smartphone using the DJI GO app. The fully stabilised 12 mega pixel camera can record at 2.7K, 1080p or 720p. The Standard has a flying time of up to 25 minutes and a transmitting range of 500-1000m.

Phantom 3 Advanced

The DJI Phantom 3 Advanced uses DJI’s Lightbridge technology; a HD Live View downlink built into the remote controller with a range of up to 2000m. The remote controller connects to your smartphone or tablet device via USB to display the HD feed through the DJI GO app. The Advanced carries a 12.4 mega pixel camera which records at 1080p or 720p and is capable of capturing JPEG and RAW stills. The Advanced has a flight time of up to 23 minutes.

Phantom 3 Professional

The DJI Phantom 3 Professional has all the features of the Advanced but comes equipped with a camera capable of recording at 4K resolution at 24, 25 or 30 fps. The Professional also comes supplied with a high powered charger to reduce charge times in between flights. Both the Advanced and Professional come fitted with DJI’s new Vision Positioning System enabling the Phantom to be flown accurately in places where GPS is unattainable.
